So, I don’t know if I have expressed my immense love for my DSLR before…but it’s dead. My poor baby is gone. How? It’s probably the most stupidest thing I have ever done with in my life, and I’d rather not relive it ;_;

And that’s the main reason I’ve been MIA here, dear readers. My poor camera didn’t even have a name yet and it died.

A moment of silence?

*Sigh* so I did my Henna gig for a few more days (in turn bruising my thumb), cashed in my tax returns and am getting a BETTER DSLR SOON YA’LL. I’m happy and sad at the same time over this ahah (but mostly excited because it comes with a whole bunch of accessories that I had neglected to get before, leading to the sad demise of my former DSLR). So cross all your fingers and pray the shipping people get my new baby to me soon!! :D

I was going to talk about Inception today, but I believe Sasha still has not watched it, and would have a fit if she reads about it and probably shut this site down before I get a chance to say “It was AH-”.
So I’ll post about it in my next blog hopefully.

I realized there’s literally 2 weeks left for me to enjoy summer (before Ramadan starts that is),and I’m nowhere close to accomplishing my Summer-To-Do list. Despite the fact that it’s super lame. It really is! So far, it consists of the following:

-Go to the beach
-Get out of Toronto
-Attend a wedding
-Actually SEE Toronto
-Have a BBQ with the girls
-Have a sisters day out
-Fix my room
-Get an A+ in my summer class

You guys, none of the above has been accomplished yet. My summer is such a failure.

I hope your summer is more fun than mine, readers! Let me know what you all are up to :)

As always, I’ll leave u with a picture. This one’s dedicated to my dead dslr. I will always <3 you forever!

Despite waking up early to drive my mother to a couple of places, I think today is a pretty good day. I even had baklava for breakfast 8D omg if you guys don’t know what that is :O it’s delicious and I had the Afghani kind so it had pistachios @u@ happy party in my mouth. Rest assured though, I’ve been eating well lately, full of dark green salads and low-in-fat/high-in-protein sorta meals. Now I need to keep my working out consistent despite all the things that are happening to me on top of school (even though my essay and presentation went by thank God, I still have another essay and finals to get through).

*breathes*

ANYWAY! Ahaha so the Thursday that passed (15th) I had Em and Ace grace me with their presence. Em came first and we tried to do karaoke but I had no time to practice beforehand (yes she and i come prepared) but lol -_- we typically listen to male artists more than females but goes to show: we sang the female artists’ songs so easily D: it was a big FUUUU moment OK haha. Ace came and we began doing the typical girlie things like fixing our hair, taking photographs, playing music and watching videos, eating yummeh cupcakes and (in contrast) salad xD

Soon after we had a lady come over to give us free facials. She started things off with examining our faces through this box (that was lit up by UV lights or something? o_O we appeared blue in it and our eyes glowed yellow/white @_@). Apparently I have combination skin v_v but omg facials are so soothing and relaxing, plus the product she used smelled great ;A; it makes me re-realize how important it is to take care of your skin T-T so I am determined to do stuff like facials (on my own) more often!

I was supposed to meet my friend Cecily on Saturday but we ended up going out on Sunday. She is my international friend from China that I met in university and unfortunately, even though we’re in the same program we had NO classes this past year together. So we hadn’t gone out (just us two) in almost a year and on top of that, we didn’t do anything for each other’s birthday (her’s is a day after mine). On Sunday alone, we went to three must-see sights in Toronto: Royal Ontario Museum (the ROM ♥), Casa Loma and the CN Tower.

[Warning: It might become a bit image heavy!]

We got a City Pass deal and a TTC day pass for our transit. The ROM was my favourite out of the three, I suppose I have a thing for artifacts of our history xD I got to see China’s Terracotta Warrior statues but I wasn’t allowed to take photos :( it was an extra $7 to see but it was SUPER cool, I can’t believe people were capable—with little technology no less—to make hundreds upon hundreds of life size statues (not to mention horses O_O). I found the miniatures adorable too, they replicated their livestock quite realistically! I did manage to take photos of the rest of the place, so here you go!

This is the ROM itself from outside.

Cecily said this was a tomb O_O

This is Cecily xD

Casa Loma was an epic walk but the stuff here was very Victorian :D I liked it:

And well… the CN Tower is just the CN Tower -_- LOL nothing exciting about photographing that!

We have yet to go to the zoo and the science centre but I’ll have to fit that in some time in the next nine days (our city pass expires after that). I still have two weeks of school to go before classes end ( and finals come ;o; ). I’ll be seeing Inception after waiting for months now with my brother and sisters tomorrow (we’re enticing my mother with Leonardo DiCaprio xDD). Ah, and in the near future I have to make french pastries (or attempt to) with Patty as well as attend two weddings o___o by the end of July D: one after another! (I believe the two last days o_O)

Anyway that was a LOT on my part. Hope you all are well dear readers! What have you been upto this summer? ;D

So today, I FINALLY got out of the house, after like two weeks of being confined and just working at home, I went out with Ace and Marya downtown. We went to go eat donair (an amazing shawarma place) and we just walked around downtown, shopped randomly and drank BUBBLE TEA!!!! I haven’t had it in so long, so it was wonderful to be able to drink it again. I also cleared out my bank T_T so I must once again work until I have money again. It’s a vicious cycle and I must put an end to my spending. But alas, today I spent because I needed life supplies and was running out.

So :), just going to show you what I got. WARNING: I used my cellphone, I understand it’s horrible quality, but at the moment that is all I have…so you’re going to have to live with it until I get a camera…which is…I don’t know. Probably might not even happen. Anyway, onwards!

First stop was to shoppers. I picked up some facewash (that I needed so desperately) and I also picked up some Shea butter cream with added Vitamin E. I have horrible scars on my legs, so I needed something to help and try eradicate them. Then we went to The Body Shop where I picked up the Tea Tree toner and some lip butter. I get very dry lips for some reason, so while watching a makeup video one of the girls mentioned it, so I wanted to try it out. I will try it out and let you all know how it fares :)

We then went into the Aldo’s, supposed outlet…but to us it seemed like..it was a lot of garbage instead. I did manage to find another pair of sunglasses though that ended up being four bucks! WOOHOO for sunglasses that are FOUR bucks! :D

We then stopped by H&M. At this point I knew I had made a huuuugee dent in my bank account. I was so scared of purchasing anything because I was like, Oh my God..what if I don’t have money, and I have become very picky about what I buy these days. I’m trying not to spend too much money, but this was too much to pass up. After looking through various clearance racks, I was able to find this maxi dress. It was only $15 which is a steal considering maxi dress prices these days. They all add up to like over $25.

Yes..I know the paint on my door is chipping..and that ribbon hanging on the doorknob is a toy attached to a ribbon that my cat loves to play with.

Last but not least we went back to Shoppers Drug Mart (a drug store with makeup, etc) because I needed a pair of tweezers (my sister kept getting mad that I was using hers all the time) and Ace wanted to get some wax. I ended up also getting a new eyeshadow primer, because I will be honest, Urban Decay’s sucks. Well for me anyway. A lot of people say it’s amazing and they swear by it, but all it does is make my eyeshadow crease and look all nasty. The lady working at the store said that this primer was amazing and that she has oily lids too and that it works wonders. Well at $30 it better work wonders, else I am going to be mad. It’s Benefits, stay don’t stray primer, so hopefully *fingers crossed* that it will work.

I believe that is all for my post…I know it was a long one, but I just couldn’t help it. I had an amazing time with Ace and Marya today even though at the end of the day our feet were killing and we were so tired because we’re so smart..we go to sleep at 4 am.

Before I end this, I have one question, would you guys be interested if we started selling stuff on the site? We love jewelry and we found a bunch of stores that sell them and were wondering if you guys would want to buy it. Just a question! :)

Also, for anyone who applied for advertising, I will get back to you asap. Do not fear, I just haven’t had the time to go through the emails.

<3 Em
